  • My name is Andrea and I started training with Heather in September 08. I wanted to tone up and get fit - I work silly hours and have 2 children at school and a husband who travels away a lot so I struggle to fit in regular trips to the gym and definitely lack the will power to get myself going.

    I kept starting fitness routines and telling myself no more snacks but never managed to keep it up and frankly the chocolate biscuits call louder than the trainers!!

    My first session was a bit scary as it involved scales and body fat calipers - to be honest I think the scales were more scared than me.... that little indignity over, we discussed motivation (40th Birthday looming and party frock to get into) and determination (I'd give up chocolate but I'm no quitter). Seriously though, it was a comprehensive and motivational checkup, Heather made no silly promises but kept it sensible. Eat healthily and do some exercise and you will look and feel better but don't expect miracles after the first session.

    We started the following week and I have done 2 sessions a week for 7 weeks now. We had a reassessment after 6 weeks and I was thrilled (apart from having to get on the scales again!) to find that I had lost 3% of my body fat - far more than either Heather or I had expected. I really feel so much better and everyone has commented how much fitter I am looking.

    This has given me all the more determination to continue and I am so pleased that I finally plucked up the courage to call a personal trainer.

    Heather's exercises are tough but you can feel them working and she is always so encouraging. I haven't given up the chocolate (or the odd glass of wine) but she has helped me make more sensible choices about the food I eat and I actually found myself looking forward to training last time - obviously I wouldn't tell her that.

  • With 10 weeks to our wedding, I had lost nearly a stone through eating healthily, but had hit a plateau and colleagues suggested I kick start things by calling Heather. Within a couple of days we met and I signed up on the spot.

    I was impressed by Heather’s whole person approach, advising me on nutrition as well as motivating me during our training sessions.

    My weight loss was back on track and I toned up more than I could have hoped for through my sessions with Heather and had renewed confidence on our big day.

    What’s more the sessions were fun and tailored to my individual needs, but watch out, Heather doesn’t let you slack!

  • I've always hated exercise but I look forward to the sessions so much. They're varied and everything is kept fun while still making us work hard. I even look forward to the aches the next day as it means I've done some good. When I first looked at the eating plan, I thought no way am I going to be able to follow that but you get used to it quickly, especially as I never feel hungry. By the end of the first week, I wasn't even tempted by what other people were eating.

  • I have done the 28 Day detox and found out how packaged foods had controlled me.

    I now don't ever feel hunger pangs as I eat what I need. Also, I don't have the urge to go back to my old way of eating. I think now I will stick to almost all of the plan with a few treats at weekends maybe.

    I have lost a stone and 6lbs to date so very happy, a way to go yet but with Davids training regime on Tuesdays and me doing 2 other sessions on my own each week I am on the right track.

    Thank you for all the support, David is very good and patient with me as this "old" body of mine is taking some work to get it healthy.

    I will keep going and I am so grateful to you for your brilliant ideas and fantastic news letters.
