Whatever stage of pregnancy you're in; whether you want to have a healthier and easier pregnancy or want to get into shape after the birth, we can help you learn what exercises are safe during your pregnancy - from start to finish - and guide you on choosing the right foods.

We all know the occasional mum who is back into their pre-pregnancy jeans before they’ve left the hospital but these are the exception rather than the rule. There are many ways in which you can achieve optimum health during your pregnancy and after the birth of your baby.

Pre-Natal Training

It’s inevitable that you will put on weight during your pregnancy but putting on excessive weight isn’t advisable for you or your baby and can be easily avoided.

Pregnant but don’t want to eat for two?

Managing your weight doesn’t mean dieting during your pregnancy; but following a plan which is nutritious, balanced and based on healthy eating principles. Whilst during your pregnancy you may experience morning sickness or tiredness or feel ravenous between meals; a balanced diet and knowing what that should entail during pregnancy, means post birth fat loss and exercise will be easier.

Is exercise safe during pregnancy?

During pregnancy your body goes through many physiological changes which are not permanent. As a result, a carefully designed exercise program which takes you and your baby into consideration is vital and the exercises are achievable and not too overwhelming. Just 30 minutes a day of moderate exercise could help you and your baby stay healthy and has a whole host of other benefits too!

Post-Natal Training

You've successfully made it through the last nine months, and now you want to get back into the shape you were in before your pregnancy, or improve on it.

You can expect to lose weight immediately after the birth but how quickly you lose the rest of your pregnancy weight will depend on your post baby lifestyle. You can get easily disheartened when you see celebrity’s who have had a baby and are back in their size zero jeans a week afterwards but this just isn’t healthy, or realistic for most of us! This said, it is possible to get back into your favourite jeans or that skirt you’ve put in the back of your cupboard quite quickly.

Although it can feel like a having a new baby takes all your time, it is possible to fit in some exercise to help you get back into shape post birth. Waiting to start exercising until you've had your 6 week check is advisable after you’ve given birth.
